Jannie Marie Gavrin

Jannie Marie Danner Gavrin passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Danner and Myrtle Limbaugh Danner, husbands Morris Samuel Gavrin (Pawpaw) and Arthur Derbes, as well as her son Joseph Gavrin. Loving mother to Steven Gavrin (Sandra), Sherrye Bantz (Roger), and Jannie Markey (Jim). She was also a loving Grandmother (Maw Maw) to five grandchildren, Kirt Gavrin (Tammy), Jeffrey Vaughan, Bo Vaughan (Juli), Natalie Cannata (Sammy), and Austin Gavrin, as well as nine great grandchildren Blake, Samantha, Torey, Jake, Katelyn, Amanda, Paxson, Dominick and Dean. Jannie is also survived by one brother, Joe Danner (Vera) and preceded in death by five siblings Johnny (Norma), Tom (Kathy), Edith (Arthur), Frieda (Paul) and Rose (Chester). She is also survived by her longtime companion, Patrick Clancy. Jannie enjoyed dancing, gardening, playing cards, painting and spending time with her family.
Friends and Family are welcome to attend the Funeral Services to be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001, on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with service and burial to follow at 12:30 p.m.
