James Michael Vassmer

James Michael Vassmer passed away peacefully on November 8, 2021 at the age of 76. James was born on April 12, 1945 in San Francisco, CA. He has been a resident of Luling, LA for 53 years. James is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Vicki Vassmer. Loving father of Kelly Vassmer, Kevin Vassmer (Terri), and Karri Bourg (Eldon). Grandfather to Devin Vassmer, Karsyn Bourg, and Karli Bourg. Brother of Carolyn Schreck (Douglas), William Vassmer (Denise), and Kathleen Vassmer. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Helen Vassmer and mother-in-law, Juanita Turner. James is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from Union Carbide after 35 years of service. Private family services will be held at a later date.
