James “Jimmy” Joseph Rizzuto Jr., entered eternal rest peacefully in his sleep, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the age of 42. Jimmy is survived by his parents, Geraldine Haas Rizzuto and James J. Rizzuto Sr.; and his sisters, Lisa Normand (Brent) and Geri Bowen (Randy). Jimmy was a loving uncle to his three nephews: Daniel, Matthew and Brent. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles: Mary Bordelon, Michael Haas, Billy McDonnell, Annabelle Hamman, Linda McDonnell and numerous cousins. He is survived by grandparents, William and Joanna McDonnell. He was preceded in death by grandparents: George L. Haas, Geraldine Ringer Haas and Nicholas Rizzuto. Also preceded in death by his uncles: George Haas, Burton Bordelon and Pat McDonnell. Jimmy will be greatly missed.
Jimmy attended Archbishop Rummel and graduated from East Jefferson High School and attend Delgado. He worked hard his entire life. Jimmy worked for the Treasure Chest Casino, Lowe’s, Dillard's and recently at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. He was loved by all who knew him. Jimmy will be remembered for always making people laugh. He will be sadly missed; he was a loving generous person who gave of himself to his family. He loved his family, nephews, his fur babies and Poker.
Family, friends, and co-workers are invited to join us for a Memorial Service at the Deutsches Haus on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1023 Ridgewood Dr., Metairie, LA 70001.
