James Louis Fuentes passed away in Harahan, LA on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the age of 91. He is the beloved husband of Dolly Rabb Fuentes for 41 years. Stepfather of Yvonne and Jami Douglas. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, and 1 nephew. He was born April 22, 1931 to the late John R. Fuentes and Matilda Guiterriz Fuentes. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and then became a civilian Naval Air Instructor. He was very kind, well liked, and an all-around good man. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and the Harahan Lions Club. He enjoyed volunteering with the Lions Club helping children test their eyesight and getting them the care they needed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
