Jacob V. Taffaro, Sr.

Jacob V. Taffaro, Sr. passed away on Friday evening, December 28, 2018 at the age of 96. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 72 years, Consuelo Richoux Taffaro; his daughter, Jennie Lynn Taffaro Soule; his parents, Mariano Taffaro and Giovanna “Jenny” Squatrito Taffaro; a brother, Anthony Taffaro and a great-granddaughter, Roxanne Lynn Ranna.  He is survived by his son and his wife, Jacob V. Taffaro, Jr. and Mary Bihli Taffaro and his daughter, Terrie A. Auzenne; six grandchildren: Robert A. Soule, Donna Lynn Taffaro Ranna, Rebecca Lynn Soule Hassy, Kailani J. Nunez, Angelica N. Alvarado and Aaron D. Alvarado; seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Mr. Taffaro was the Past Master of George Washington #65 F&AM, Past Grand Lecturer of the Grand Lodge of the State of LA and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am. Interment will be in the Chapel of Eternal Faith Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
