Ian Michael Racine

Ian Michael Racine, a sweet and gentle soul, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the age of 15. Ian was a sensitive and compassionate young man who touched the lives of many while on his short journey here on Earth. He had a funny, quick-witted personality with the gift to make the ones around him laugh. He enjoyed playing video games, talking online with friends, and reading books. He had a love for animals and the desire to help anyone or anything in need. Ian attended Our Lady of Divine Providence and was in his second year at De La Salle High School where he participated in the string orchestra and the chess club. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his parents, Cindy and Marc Racine; his siblings: Breanna St. Cyr (Kevin Bourg), Bryce Racine, and Jenna Vega; his grandparents: Marie and Erwin Vega, Ronald Racine, and Janice and Link Cooper; his nephew, Sawyer Bourg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Mary Magdalen, 6425 W. Metairie Ave. in Metairie, LA on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred.
