Hugo Paul Wiltz passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Sylvia Gaude Wiltz, his parents Alphonse Charles Wiltz and Lydia Baum Wiltz, his brother Robert Wiltz (Joyce) and his sister Elizabeth Landry (Sheldon). He is survived by his children and their spouses, Melissa Madere (Russel) and Paul Wiltz (Megan) and also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Hugo was a native of New Orleans, LA before becoming a resident of Metairie, LA for the past 52 years. He was a graduate of Delgado Trade School, and was a cabinet maker, working for VIP Cabinets and other cabinet businesses, Avondale Shipyards, and finished his career, retiring from East Jefferson General Hospital with 25 years. He served his country for 8 years in the Louisiana Army National Guard in the 2226th Engineering Company (Float Bridge) and was an active, lifetime member of the New Orleans Elks Lodge No. 30 as well as an associate member of the Slidell Elks Lodge No. 2321. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 8:30 am until service time. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
