Gloria Renee Meo

Gloria M. Meo, a longtime resident of Metairie, LA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born in New Orleans, LA to the late John and Vera Gilkers Martinez and raised with her sister, the late Adele Martinez Maillet (late, Huron). Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Peter Meo and longtime companion of the late Lionel Sehlinger for over 20 years. She is survived by her nephew, Greg Maillet; her niece, Malinda Maillet Chartier; and her great nephew, René Maillet.
Gloiria enjoyed many activities on her own and with her husband such as gardening, ceramics, and designing decorations, all of which she won awards for. She belonged to dance clubs such as the Dragons and the Oldies but Goodies and spent many nights dancing with Lionel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by a Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
