Geraldine Mamie Theisges

Our Loving Mother, Mrs. Geraldine Mamie Armstrong Gautreau Theisges, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the age of 92. She is the wife of the late James Gautreau, Sr. for 23 years and Julius Theisges, Jr. for 46 years. She is survived by her 3 children: Gay Greene (Jimmy), James Gautreau (Karen), and Guy Gautreau (Donna); 7 grandchildren: James Greene (Deanne), Tanya Pizzati (Dennis), James "Bubby" Gautreau (Denice), Bryan Gautreau, Jimmy Gautreau, Troy Gautreau, Joshua Gautreau (Stacy); and 13 great-grandchildren: Jordan, Connor, & Collin Greene, Jacklyn Prieur, Heather Boydston, Ashlynn & Taylor Gautreau, Ayden & Wyatt Gautreau, Kaitlyn & Sophie Gautreau, Joshua & Victoria Gautreau. She is also survived by one brother, Louis Armstrong (Sue), and a host of nieces and nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Helen Armstrong; her sister, Isabel Armstrong Baker (John); and her brother, Carl Armstrong (Vetta). She worked for NBC Jefferson and retired from Whitney National Bank after many years of dedicated service.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon with the Mass starting at 2:00 PM with interment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
