Georgia Marelo

Georgia Marelo passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the age of 73. She was survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Julius Marelo; her loving children, Brian Marelo (Gwinn) and Jennifer Marelo Erwin (Dan); 4 grandchildren: Madison Marelo, Brody Erwin, Brian Marelo, and Finley Erwin; her 4 siblings: Rene Maggio (Toni), Anthony Maggio (Lisa), Gloria Poorman (Wade), and Nick Maggio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Gloria Rodrigue Maggio and the late George Ortego, as well as her stepfather, the late Marion Maggio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm with a Catholic Service at 2:00 pm followed by burial.
