George Leo Zanca Sr.

George Leo Zanca, Sr., pastor of Amazing Love Church which he founded in 2010, went to be in the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. He would have been 68 on July 24, 2021. George was born in New Orleans and was a resident of River Ridge. He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Jody Zanca and the father of George Zanca, Jr. (wife, Jennifer Corb Zanca) and Tanya Michelle Zanca whom he is reunited with in heaven. He was the grandfather of Natasha Corb and the brother of Sandra Benoit, Corine McCraney and John Laroux and the late Nickie Zanca and Ski Zanca Morales. He was “PaPa” of Amelia and Valerie Springer and Khori Meaux. He was also  “PaPa” and “Candy Man” to many. He loved serving people and will truly be missed.
Relatives, friends of the family and members of Amazing Love Church are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm followed by the Funeral Service on Sunday afternoon, July 25, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. He will be laid to rest with his daughter in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose, LA. The interment will be private.
