Gale Frances Cortez

Gale Arboneaux Cortez passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Richard J. Cortez, Sr. for almost 15 years. Loving mother of David J. Williams (Joanne) and Daniel J. Williams (Lisa) and stepmother of Edward Cortez (Patty), Richard Cortez, Jr. (late, Beth), Johnny Cortez, and Thomas Cortez, Sr. (Lisa). Grandmother of Jacob Williams (Teva), Lacey Bevier (Danielle), Kirby Sellers (Hunter), Jamie Parker (Brian), David Cortez, Karen Stanley (Matt), Tricia Cortez, Ian Cortez, Thomas Cortez, Jr., Tara Couch (Blake), and Sophia Cortez as well as several great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Ernest and Bernadine Arboneaux and sister of Edith Arboneaux and the late Dale Lewis (Charlie). Aunt of Amber Lewis Robertson (Jared).
Gale was a native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of Metairie, LA. She was a good, loving mother and surrounded her life and activities with her children and grandchildren. She most enjoyed celebrating holidays with the family and Kid’s Day with her grandchildren.
A private service and interment was held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001.
