Frances Smith Parsons passed from this earth to our Father in Heaven on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the age of 96. Longtime resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved daughter of Marell Smith Harper and step-daughter of the late Palmer H. "Butch" Harper. Wife of the late Herbert Milzer Parsons. Sister of Dorothy Harper August. Mother of Margaret Parsons Davis, Carol Parsons Alcantar, David E. Parsons (Robbin), and Dorothy Cynthia "Cindy" Parsons. Maw Maw to 7 grandchildren: Melissa Davis Breazeale (Mario), Michelle Alcantar Fonseca (John), Monica Davis O'Steen (Charles), David Paul Alcantar (Jaquelin), Benjamin Parsons, Matthew Davis, and Allison Parsons, and 8 great-grandchildren: Cullen and Riley Fonseca, Grace and Kate O'Steen, Adeline, Jaxon and Aubree Alcantar, and Blakely O'Conner. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Longtime member of Uptown Shepherd's Center.
Visitation and service will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Monday, September 10, 2018. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm with a Graveside Service at 2:00 pm.
