Evelyn M. Smith

Evelyn M. Smith passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021, just 4 days before her 88th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stewart Adrian Musselwhite and Maude Evelyn Musselwhite and her loving husband of 53 years, Glen Allen Smith Sr. She is survived by her three sons, Glen Allen Smith, Jr. (Robin), Thomas Zack Smith (Leslie) and John Kelly Smith (Patricia); six grandchildren: Stewart Smith, Abigail Smith, Jason Smith, Clint Smith, Adrienne Ware (Jonathan) and Austin Smith and her sister, Rose Adrian House. Evelyn taught private music lessons early in her career, then served as a reading teacher in the Jefferson Parish Public School system for over 25 years. She was a member and past president of the Metairie Woman’s Club and a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Metairie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
The family requests contributions be made to Fellowship Bible Church, 4600 Clearview Pkwy, Metairie, LA 70006.
Please note that due to the current state restrictions, visitation is limited to a total of 150 people and a face covering must be worn.
