The heavenly angels were sent by God to take Eola Marie Vitry to her heavenly home on Monday, August 28, 2017. She went to join her beloved parents Roland, Sr. and Carria Fontenot Vitry. She was born on June 22, 1954. She is survived by her brother, Roland, Jr. (Lynda), her brother Marion, her sister, Mary Frilot (Richard), her brother Francis and several nieces and nephews. She attended St. Dominic, Mt. Carmel Academy and graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNO for her education to become an elementary school teacher. She was a loving and dedicated teacher at St. Louis King of France, St. Benilde, Resurrection, St. James Major and Christ the King. She was a beautiful, very smart and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 9:00 am until service time.
