Emiko Honjo, 84, passed on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her home in Metairie, Louisiana after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on April 18, 1933 in Shimane-Ken, Japan to Honosuke and Chiyo Ueda. In October 1956, she married Mamoru Honjo and together they raised their daughters Karen and Rosa. In 1957 she graduated from the College of Science & Technology at Ritsumeikan University in Japan. Emiko is survived by her husband, Mamoru Honjo; daughter, Karen Terui and husband Ted; daughter, Rosa Judd and husband Dwayne; grandchildren, Cigi Midgett and husband Jason; Rika Terui; Kaori Garcia and husband Joel; Makoto Terui; and great-grandchild Chloe Midgett. Memorial services will be privately held. Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA is handling the arrangements.
