Elwood R. Brown Sr.

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our beloved father, Elwood Raymond Brown, Sr. He was called home on Monday, April 22, 2019, at the age of 74. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his surviving wife, Gatha G. Brown; their children Elwood R. Brown, Jr., Ron Brown, Sr. (Nicola), Shawn M. Brown, Shiatha Dublin (Alexander) and Alacysia L. Brown; his grandchildren Jeremy Drayton Brown (Chantellé), Dayjanae Jackson, Samuel Brown, Ron Brown, Jr. (Rita), Rynisha Brown, Rondell Brown, Anthony Bennett, Alex Dublin, III, Kenlassia Hayes (Michael), Kenneth Hayes III, Kenlashaé Hayes and Kavi Rawles; great grandchildren London, Mauricio, and Milo Jackson, and Kingston Brown; two brothers Alvaraz Brown, Sr. and Carlos Brown, Sr. (Diana); and a loving host of brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Taylor Brown and Ruth Elizabeth Age Brown and two brothers, Don Thomas Brown and Vernon Brown. Elwood was known as a “jack of all trades” and retired as a welder with over 30 years of experience from Boasso America in 2005.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Garden of Memories Funeral Home on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel, followed by interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. A reception will be hosted at the funeral home following the services.
