Donny Royce Driggers

Donny Royce Driggers passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of 44 years to Elaine Graham Driggers. Loving father of Angelique Russo (Chris) and Gwendolyn Driggers (Rob Tai). Grandfather of Christopher Russo IV, Gabriella Tai, and Evelyn Tai. Son of the late Dan and Marguerite Driggers. Brother of Danny Driggers (Nelda). Uncle of Shelby Rhodes (Amanda), Karla Petrovich (Troy), Truly Smith, Gene Driggers (Tracey), and Janice Elam (Rob) and great-uncle of Allie Rhodes, Cody Petrovich, Cole Petrovich, Andrew Driggers, and Jessica Gasway.
Donny was born and raised in Saline, LA and moved to Marrero, LA after marrying Elaine. He worked for Electro-coal for over 20 years and as a heavy equipment operator in construction for many other companies. He loved playing guitar and was an avid outdoorsman and animal lover. Donny was an adventurous man with a daredevil nature. He was a friend to everyone he met and will be missed by anyone who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM until service begins at 3:00 PM. Interment will be on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Old Saline Baptist Church Cemetery in Saline, LA.
