Donald J Naquin

Donald James Naquin has gone to his heavenly father Sunday October 24, 2021 at the age of 88.
Born in Houma La., a resident of Metairie, La. For 62 years and Bush, La. For the last 3 years. He is preceded in death by his daughter Katherine, parents, Harry and Gilly Gaston Naquin, son-in-laws Vincent H. Silva, Jr. and James W. Free. Beloved husband to Norma Labit for 69 years. Loving father of Christine, Wayne, Linda Silva, Sharron Heavey (Frank), Karl, and Dana Free. Grandfather to Dominick Ferrara (Amy), Tracy Ferrara Bergeron (Carl), Hope Finnorn Giovelli (Nicholas), Joshua, Justin, and Jeremy. Great Grandfather of 10 and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was retired from Pennzoil (United Gas) after 36 years and A&P Food Stores after 20 years. After retirement Donald enjoyed traveling with his wife to Europe and the continental United States and Canada. He was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence where he served as an usher for many years and enjoyed helping with the annual fair. As a volunteer at Lakeside Hospital for 10 years he enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone he met.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Metairie, La. 70001 on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the Mass at 11:00 AM followed by Interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, La. 70001
