Dianne Steadman Evans

Dianne Steadman Evans, 68, of Metairie, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at East Jefferson Hospital. She was born to her late parents, Joyce Sanchez Steadman and Joseph S. Steadman, in New Orleans and lived in Metairie, Louisiana for most of her life. From an early age Dianne exhibited many talents, including dance, cooking and gardening. She was a vociferous reader and would spend hours researching various topics of interest. She loved taking annual trips to Charleston, South Carolina, where she would indulge in the local cuisine, explore galleries and churches, and venture out to the Charleston Tea Garden.
She is survived by her Aunt and Godmother, Carolina Smith of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; her uncle Joseph Sanchez and his wife Carol of Destrehan, Louisiana; extended family, close friends, and her devoted and much-loved canine companion, Hope.
Visitation will begin 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001 on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Burial to follow immediately.
