Debra Grosz Kramer passed away at her home on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the age of 66. She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Stephen Lawrence Kramer; her son, Eric Stephen Kramer (Emily); her daughter, Elizabeth Kramer Greer (Luke) and her four beautiful grandchildren who were an overwhelming source of great joy and pride: Erin Kramer, Everett Kramer, Mason Greer and Aubrey Greer. She is also survived by her sister, Jan Grosz Isle; a brother, Thomas O. Grosz and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottmar L. Grosz, Jr. and Gaye Hendrickson Grosz and a brother, Robert “Bob” Grosz.
Debbie graduated from Riverdale High School in 1968 and attended Nicholls State University. She had a 25 year career as teacher/director of Alpha Montessori School in Metairie where her love of and devotion to children was evident. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery, monthly dinners with her Ya-Ya group and her weekly Bible study group. She especially treasured trips with her family and friends and attending her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. She will be missed and remembered for the unwavering faith she placed in Almighty God.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
