David Anthony Hunt

David Anthony Hunt passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at the age of 53.

He is preceded in death by his life partner, Derrick Hubbard and his father, David James Hunt.

David is survived by his beloved mother, Patsey Mitchell Moon; siblings: Monica Landry, Daniel Hunt (Tara "Missy" Hunt), and Joseph Hunt; nieces and nephews: Tre Landry, Tai Amore Robinson, Joseph Robinson, Denvor Robinson, Autumn Elise Hunt, London Rose Hunt, Daniel "Duke" Hunt II, and Camron Michell Hunt.

David was a Dorm Attendant at Xavier University of Louisiana where he enjoyed helping students navigate and adjust to college life. It was here David introduced Missy and Dan and changed their lives by beginning their family. They are forever grateful. David was also the full-time caregiver for his mother Patsey Moon, and he enjoyed cooking and organizing with her while they discussed their favorite movies and TV programs. David will be dearly missed by family and friends for his easy conversations and gentle presence he touched us with.

A Graveside service will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 7001, at 11:00am.  To offer condolences please visit gardenofmemories.com.
