Danielle Lorene Crowder

On May 2, 2022 Danielle Crowder lost her long time battle with addiction. Over the past 13 years, she tried unsuccessfully to conquer her demons and within the past few years her demons and disease brought her to incredible places of darkness. We all fought until the end to lead her back to the light that we watched dim for her for so long-- until it was extinguished. This disease does not discriminate and she will be missed forever. We, as a family, vow to continue to bring awareness to this horrible disease that has taken our precious Dani. She was so full of life, beautiful, goofy and had a smile that could light up any room. She was more than just an addict. She was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She is preceded in death by her precious son Kaleb Hughes and her father Bryon Crowder. She leaves behind a loving mother, Melissa Crowder-Borne; Two older sisters, April Gilbert and Rachael Crowder; Stepfather, Grant Borne; Stepbrother, Wayne Borne; Nephews, Chase Hinde, Bryon Solet, and Alex Jones; Neices, Addison Hinde and Abrielle Jones, numerous cousins; and most tragically, her four children, Brandon Treadway, Jr., Alaynah Crowder, Kole Hughes and Myles Crowder.
Untreated addiction kills. There is hope. If you’re struggling with addiction please seek help.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation made out in her name to Woodlake Addiction Recovery Center in the hope to help thousands of others suffering from this horrible disease. She is gone but never forgotten. Kiss Kaleb and rest easy. The chains have been broken and you’re finally free.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Service on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive. Metairie, LA. 70001. Visitation will start at 11:30 AM with a Celebration of Life starting at 1:00 PM.
