Cynthia Louise Steinkamp Michel of Franklinton, LA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 2:56pm.
She is survived by her “Sister in Love” Susan J. Eccles, Uncle Lawrence Steinkamp, Cousins Pamela Castagna Falgoust, Lawreen, Marleen, Charleen and Jureen Steinkamp and Ricky Mobley.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles George Steinkamp and Beatrice Castagna Steinkamp.
Cynthia was a 1967 graduate of Chapelle High School and a 1972 graduate of Charity Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for 32 years at the VA Hospital in New Orleans.
She was a resident of Metairie, Lacombe and Franklinton and was active with the VFW in Lacombe, LA.
In Lieu of flowers donations to the Charity Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association, 450 S. Claiborne Ave, New Orleans, LA 70112 preferred.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Due to State mandates a face cover must be worn. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm with a private burial at Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
