Clarence Edward Deffner Jr.

Clarence Edward Deffner, Jr. passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Clarence was born September 24, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a native of Jefferson Parish. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Encalade Deffner for 48 years. Son of the late Ellen Puderer and Clarence Deffner, Sr. Father of Stephen Deffner (Breanne), Edward Deffner (Dolores), Brian Lindsey (Sandy), and Deirdre Hatrel (Paul). Brother of Peggy Deffner, Robert Deffner, David Deffner (Vicki) and Charles Deffner (Wendye).
Clarence is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of V.F.W. Post 6640. He retired from Union Carbide Corporation after working there for many years. He was also a long time member of the Louisiana Sportsman Hunting Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001 on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery immediately following.
