Christopher Marco Cordaro, II, a resident of the Luling area, entered into enteral rest, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

Born in Bossier City, Louisiana and raised in Ruston, Louisiana, Christopher received his diploma from Ruston High School, where he enjoyed playing for the Ruston High football team, baseball team and track and field team. He earned his degree from Louisiana Tech University. Thereafter, Christopher became a constant supporter of his alma mater.

Christopher started off his career in sales with the Ruston Daily Leader, excelling in advertising sales. With a true passion in sports, he gained employment with the Shreveport Mudbugs hockey team. Moving to New Orleans, he then reached his dream job with the New Orleans Saints in 2005, where he quickly rose through the Saint’s organization ranks to become a corporate partnership sales account executive. There, Christopher became beloved by the corporate organization, players and staff members of the Saints.

Shortly after his move to New Orleans, Christopher met the love of his life, Jessie Chiasson. Christopher and Jessie married on June 14, 2008. Of their union, two children were born, daughter Ava Grace Cordaro (age seven) and son Landon Christopher Cordaro (age four).

Christopher was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and he loved to volunteer at the Father Seelos Shrine and St. Dulce Center, Cypress Springs Mercedarian Prayer Center. He enjoyed playing golf and soccer and he loved seeing his children excel in soccer as well.

Christopher is survived by his loving wife of ten years, Jessie Cordaro; children, Ava Grace and Landon Christopher; mother, Brenda Atkins (and her husband, Jay); father, Christopher Cordaro, I; brothers, Joseph (and his wife, Jill) and Nicholas Cordaro; his in-laws, Billy and Lucy Chiasson; sister-in-law, Melissa Ledet (and her husband, Chris). Christopher was also a loving uncle to Alexandra (Goddaughter) and Airiana Cordaro; and Caiden and Brooke Ledet.

Pallbearers will be Ayres Bradford, Bryce Brock, Dean Cortez, Jeff Foster, RJ Mata, Thomas Morstead, Stephen Pate and Conrad Vasquez. Honorary pallbearers are Paige Colvin, John Francis Cordaro, Mike Stanfield and James (Jimbo) Bonnette.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018, beginning at 9 a.m. with funeral mass to follow at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 234 Angus Drive, Luling LA 70070. The burial will be at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery.
