Charles David Mayeux

Charles “Chuck” David Mayeux passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the age of 68 due to complications of Covid 19. He is survived by his mother, Bernice Chatellier Mayeux; beloved wife of 46 years, Judy Ziegler Mayeux, his loving children, David Mayeux (Angie), Jeffery Mayeux and Rebecca Mayeux; grandchildren, Mattie and Remy Mayeux and Cash Welch. He is preceded in death by his father, Lumay John Mayeux. Also survived by his siblings, John Mayeux (Christine), Michael Mayeux, Bob Mayeux (Melanie) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Charles was a graduate of East Jefferson High School. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Mary Dominican College. He was a Respiratory Therapist at several New Orleans Hospitals. He served in the U.S. Navy and as corpsman with the U.S. Marines. Chuck had several patented inventions and was a small business owner of five businesses in Gulfport Mississippi. Charles will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001 on Saturday, March 6, 2021.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 am with a service in the chapel at 12:00 pm, followed by burial.
Please note that due to the current State restrictions visitation is limited to a total of 150 people and a face cover must be worn.
