Charles “Red” Dayberry passed away at his home on Saturday, June 24, 2017. He was 81.
He was married to his beloved wife, Ruby C. Dayberry for 59 years, was the father of Kenneth “Dale” Dayberry (Patricia) and Michael Dayberry (Terry) and the grandfather of five. He was the only child of the late Clifton Charles Dayberry and Anna Clark Dayberry. Charles was a retired general superintendent for Atlantic and Gulf Stevedores, Inc. and founder of Bayou Trucking. He was a member of the New Orleans A’s Ford Model A Club and enjoyed traveling and NASCAR racing.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday morning, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Honor located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
