Carol B Grenn

Carol Burdick Grenn passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 12, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She is reunited with the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Grenn, who preceded her in death in 2018. Carol is the beloved mother of Catherine "Cathy" Grenn Wiemann, Robert “Mitch” Grenn (Dawn) and Rebecca “Becky” Grenn Henderson (Jon), the adoring Nana to Sy Clarke-Chan (Robert), Adam Clarke (Bonnie), Ian Clarke (Lisa), Christopher Clarke, Lily Grenn (Casey), Jordan Queen and Stella Grenn, and Great Nana to Egon Milo Clarke-Chan. She is the sister of Joan Lynch (Frannie) and the sister-in-law, aunt and extended family member of many more.
Carol was warm, kind and funny. To know her was to love her. Carol was a long time resident of New Orleans, LA. She and Bob lived a life full of family and adventure. Through the years, they lived in South Louisiana, Lake Jackson, TX, and Douala Cameroon, West Africa. She was a great friend to many and is dearly missed. Carol was a member of St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church for nearly 60 years. She was active
in the support of St. Augustine’s where she was a Lay Eucharistic Minister, worked in the annual pumpkin patch, sang in the choir and volunteered where needed. She’s fondly remembered as the Jr. Choir Director at both St. Augustine’s as well as St. Timothy’s in Lake Jackson, TX , and as a great “swim mom” at swim meets many years ago.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, 3412 Haring Road, Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
