Brian Alexander McClendon

Brian Alexander McClendon passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 58. He was the beloved husband of Stacy Stearns McClendon. He was the devoted father of Brian Alexander McClendon, Jr. and Brock Aaron McClendon and the stepfather of Kaylin LaCava and Nicholas LaCava. He was the son of the late Dorothy Lashley McClendon and Edwin “Big Mac” McClendon, Jr. He was the brother of Edwin McClendon (Dawn), James McClendon (Dawn), Ricky McClendon (Donna), Randy McClendon, Hollis McClendon Beatty (Stewart) and the late Ward McClendon. He was “Papa” to Adrianna Portillo, Natalia Portillo, Sophia LaCava and Skyler LaCava. In addition, he is survived by 15 nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Brian was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Harahan. He owned Anytime Drug Screening in Harahan and had worked for Global Safety and Security in Metairie for many years previously.
The family is holding a Celebration of Life party this weekend in honor of what would have been his 59th birthday. A Memorial gathering in which anyone can attend will be announced later.
