Betty Jean Saterfiel

Betty Jean Baker Saterfiel entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 1, 2019, peacefully in Destrehan, LA.
Betty worked for the Social Security Administration for many years and was a longtime member of Kenner Methodist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Circle for many years, and loved gardening, her pets, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her son John Saterfiel and his wife Cynthia; granddaughters Faye Saterfiel and Erin Saterfiel Clesi (Michael); great grandchildren Hope Chauvin (Lance) and Michael Clesi; and great great grandchild Payton Chauvin; one brother Mason Baker (Charlene); sister-in-law Gloria Baker and numerous other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Saterfiel; sister Martha Namie; her brother Merrill Baker; as well as her parents Walton and Alva Baker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA 70001, followed by interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the services beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Betty’s memory to the charity of your choice.
