Betty Odom Kuzma

Betty Kuzma Sells was born February 18, 1937 in Blakely, GA and passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021 in Metairie, LA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Knight; her father, Sanders Odom, Sr.; and her brother, Sanders Odom, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph “Mike” Sells; her sons, Frank P. Kuzma (Mary) and Michael J. Kuzma, Sr. (Ann); her grandchildren: Phillip P. Kuzma, Jennifer E. Kuzma, Michael J. Kuzma, Jr.; and great-grandchildren: Madelyn R. Kuzma, Katelyn A. Kuzma, Caden P. Kuzma. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren, and step nieces and nephews.
Betty was employed for 39 years with the U.S. Department of Justice Marshal Service. She was a faithful member of Celebration Church Metairie Campus since 1994. The family would like to give special thanks for the love and support of her prayer group and congregation of Celebration Church. Also would like to give special thanks to Lindy Lobells who she also loved dearly and her walking/coffee friends who she spent time with regularly who she held close to her heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a service starting at 1:00 pm followed by burial. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
