Anthony “Tony”, “Lefty”, “Pops” Maggiore, Sr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 27, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony Paul Maggiore and Rosalie Hof Maggiore; and son-in-law Harry Breaud. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 67 years Billie Jean Jenkins Maggiore; his children Toni, Anthony, Jr. (Rita), Patti and Sandra Breaud; Grandchildren Jennifer Vamvoras (Shawn), Lori Doucet-Alexander (Frank), Joel Doucet, Anthony, III (Brooke), Tyler Breaud and Nathan Breaud; great-grandchildren Amelia Alexander, Caleb Vamvoras, and Shelby Maggiore. He is also survived by his sisters, Angelina Maggiore and Mary Ann Calamari; nieces and nephew Darlene, Melinda and Kevin. Anthony was a retired ironworker of 60 years for the local 58. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 11:00 am until service time.
