Annie Torina Cyrus

Annie Torina Cyrus passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving and devoted wife of 69 years of Leon S. Cyrus, Jr. and the mother of Dianne Cyrus Hughes (Jimmy), Carol Cyrus Bryars and Linda Kay Cyrus Zuniga (Carlos) and the grandmother of Chad James Hughes, Christie Hughes Russ (Mark), Kelly Hollis Damron (Brian) and Lisa Bryars Stacey, and also great-grandmother of 8. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Ferina Torina, her siblings, Lucy Kimball, C.J. Torina, Peter Torina, Jr. and Vic Torina, and also her grandson, David Cyrus Bryars. Annie was a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA and was a longtime parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church. She retired as a registered nurse after 40 years of service. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA and the visitation will begin at 11:00 am until service time. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum located in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
