Anna Marie Tassin

Anna Marie Tassin went home to her Lord on Friday, January 27, 2023. She is survived by her loving family, husband of 61 years, Roy Gerard Tassin; cherished mother of Rachelle Rollo (Michael), Craig (Heather) and Mark (Sherri). Grandee of Nicole, Nicolas, Shelby and Bryce. Great Grandmother of Liv, Ila and Robby III. Daughter of the late Anthony Girgenti and Lena Cammarata. Sister of Antoinette Lane (John), J.A. Girgenti and Nic Girgenti(Lauri). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was an active member of Our Lady of Divine Providence Parish, altar society and the Come Lord Jesus Group. She was born in New Orleans in 1938, raised in Amite and moved to New Orleans to attend St. Joseph’s Academy before obtaining an associate degree from Southeastern Louisiana College. Anna returned to New Orleans where she met the love of her life, Roy, and were married in 1961 and settled in Metairie where they raised their three children.

Anna loved cooking and tending to her flower beds and house plants. She worked at a local florist for several years and in her later years she became an avid painter attending art classes twice a week.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church, 8617 West Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA. 70003 on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 12:00Noon. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM until 11:45AM. Burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie, Louisiana.
