Andrew Joseph Landry

Andrew Joseph Landry Jr. passed away surrounded by his family on May 20, 2022 at the age of 82.
AJ, who resided in Metairie, was born on September 22, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Russo Landry and his father, Andrew J. Landry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margaret Walsdorf Landry and his three children, Monee Spence (Mark), Andrew J. Landry III (Susan), and Lisa Borges (Craig). AJ was the proud paw paw of Kristen Todd, Andrew J. Landry IV, Alexa Cannella, Matthew Spence, Christian Borges, Gabriel Borges, and Isabel Borges. He was also the great grandfather of Eli Todd.
AJ graduated from St. Aloysius Catholic High School where he was a standout athlete in track. He was an honorary member of the National Guard of Louisiana, and later retired as the district manager of Union National Life Insurance Company. A true New Orleanian, AJ loved fishing and boiling seafood for his family and friends.
AJ was a devoted family man and loving husband who embraced every moment with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. 70001. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a catholic mass at 12:00 PM. Interment will be immediately after at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
