Alvin Vance Brand Jr.

Alvin Vance Brand Jr passed away on September 12, 2022 at the age of 76. Born on April 27, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Alvin Vance Brand Sr and Edith Brooks Brand, Alvin spent his plumbing career as a Union Member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 60. He had a life-long love of cars and racing. Alvin was a member of the Ford Performance Association for over 35 years. He enjoyed all aspects of cars and racing and took advantage of that interest every chance he got.
Alvin is survived by his children; Julie Schnauder (Gregory) and Aubrey Brand (Michelle), his grandchildren; Colin Schnauder, Madalyn Brand, Zachary Schnauder, and Karlie Schnauder, and his sister, Edie Brand.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001. Visitation hours will begin at 11:00 am with a 1:00 pm service and burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
