Althea Anne Hartman Bosche

Althea Anne Hartman Bosche was born on May 27, 1924 to the late Henrietta Haro and Henry William Hartman and passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. She was a native of New Orleans, LA, residing in Metairie, LA and most recently Gonzales, LA. Althea was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Roy Bosche, and her siblings: Henry W. Hartman, Margaret K. Orgeron, Stanley I. Hartman, Jenny C. Lutrell, Rose V. Payne, and Lawrence E. Hartman. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Bosche Fernandez and husband, Randall of Carriere, MS and Barbara Bosche Gai of Gonzales, LA; her stepdaughter, Esther Bosche Terry and husband, Jemmy of Lucedale, MS; her grandson, Robert Bosche McCoy and wife, Celeste; great-grandchildren: Cain, Blaise, Liberty, Layla, and Bella of Marrero, LA; her siblings: James J. Hartman, Eleanor A. Dunap, Albert P. Hartman, and Elise B. Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and devoted to her family. She was a Breast Cancer Survivor and retiree of Ford Motor Company. In addition to being from "One of the Greatest Generations", she built Navy ships at the Navel Air Base in Bremerton, WA during World War II. She was a member of various organizations and served as Past President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3267, President of the OLDP Catholic Daughters of America, President of OLDP Altar Society, the American Legion Post 267, and was also active in other works of charity. She was a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence in Metairie and was a current parishioner of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70001 on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 12:00 noon followed by interment.
