Alfrieda Russell Roark passed away in Crown Point, LA on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Oscar B. Roark. Mother of Oscar B. Roark, Jr., Charles E. Roark, and Russell N. Roark. Mother-in-law of Myrna & Cookie Roark. Sister of John Russell, Shelby Russell, and the late Charles C. Russell, Doris R. LeBrun, and Edward H. Russell. Daughter of the late Marquerite Lavellee Russell and Charles C. Russell. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Age 94. A native of New Orleans, LA and longtime resident of Crown Point, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Tharp Sontheimer Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, Metairie, Louisiana on Wednesday, January 12th 2022. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with services starting at 1:00 pm followed by interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Garden of Memories Funeral Home.
