Albert John Weysham Sr.

Albert John Weysham, Sr., an electrician and stagehand, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the age of 75. He was the devoted husband of 7 ½ years to Joy Rouse Dillard-Weysham. He was the father of Shelley Weysham Lamar (Bob) and the late Albert John Weysham, Jr. He was the stepfather of Catherine Dillard Lorio (Bob), Wendy Dillard Dronet, David Penton (Alisa), Steven Penton (Niki) and the late Jeffrey Brian Dillard. He is also survived by 12 precious grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Arnold Weysham, Jr. (Marie); a sister-in-law, JoAnn Rouse Collett (Herb); a brother-in-law, Joseph Rouse, Sr. (Janice) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be especially missed by his friends on Kent Avenue. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Arnold Weysham, Sr. and Evelyn Rissser Weysham and two sisters, Audrey Weysham Matherne and Joyce Weysham.
Al was a longtime member of the brotherhood of the I.A.T.S.E. Local 130 and the I.A.T.S.E. Local 39. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie.
