Adan Rodriguez, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2017. He was born on November 16, 1932 in Pettus, TX to the late Thomas and Epifinia Rodriguez. He was one of eight children, five of whom predeceased him. He was the beloved husband of the late Manuela Moya Rodriguez for 60 years. He is survived by his daughters, Rachel Starnes (Stephen) and Cynthia Rodriguez (Jesse); four grandchildren: Tabatha, Stephen, Chrissy and Tasha; 16 great grandchildren: Taiylor, Jocelynn, Isaiah, MyKaila, Eric, Aiyana, Jordan, Johnny, Sebastian, Troy, Amarion, Kaleb, Jah’lil, Sammy, Zariyah and Faith as well as a great-great granddaughter, Azalea. He was the brother of Eva and Julia of Beeville, TX and the uncle of Adan “Danny” Rodriguez who lovingly and patiently cared for him. He is also survived by a host of nieces, other nephews, cousins and friends. Adan was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He always went above and beyond for everyone and had a strong faith. He served in the U.S. Army and owned his own cement construction company for 50 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in St. John Mausoleum located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
