Abraham A. Fisher III, 34, passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2018. Loving husband and devoted father, he is survived by his wife, Candice, three children, Payton, Donovan and Delilah, his loving in-laws, Anita and Tommy Leumas, his brother, Alex Donez, and mother Lisa Donez. Abraham was preceded in death by his father, Abraham Fisher.
Abraham was very proud to have served his country in the United States Army. During his 11 years of service, Abraham achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He also received several recognitions, including the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal and the Army Components Achievement Medal. Abraham was employed at FedEx Freight. He was known for his honest and witty personality, his tactful and creative opinions. He could instantly turn anybody into a new friend. He was talented at everything he tried; he loved to teach his children how to play sports and could design and build anything he dreamed up. He was an avid sports fan and a die-hard member of the Who Dat Nation. He loved entertaining family and friends with BBQ and crawfish boils even though he didn’t eat any seafood. His pride and joy were his three children and his dog Howie, he loved spending time going to the park, watching old movies, playing sports and games with them and teaching them about his classic truck.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 1:00 pm at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA and visitation will begin at 11:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.gardenofmemoriesmetairie.com.
