Wilford Joseph Gravois died peacefully in the presence of family on Thursday, November 30, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley King Gravois; sons: William, Kenneth and Paul Gravois; daughter, Cherie Gravois Berrigan; seven grandsons and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Lita Rooney; brother, Edward Gravois; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seraphin and Annie Benoit Gravois; sisters, Lois Kaveski and Rose Machado; and brother, Marc Gravois. He proudly served his country during the Korean War and was employed by Freeport McMoran until his retirement. Wilford was deeply devoted to his family and faith and was admired and loved by his family who will sorely miss him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Communion Service on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 12:00 Noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr. Metairie, LA. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
