It is with great sadness that the family of Valisa "Lisa" Menendez announces her passing on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the age of 39. 
Lisa will be remembered by her children: Paige, Mason, Sabrina and Andre; her brothers and sisters: Johnny Gonzalez, Raquel Gonzalez, Elizabeth Solano, David Mendez, and Marilyn Sanchez; her aunt Martha and spouse Todd Trosclair; her uncle Carlos and spouse Bonnie Menendez; her aunt Barbara Hernandez; Zuleika Burke; the Trosclair family, the Hernandez family, and the Burke family. 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Antonia Menendez; her grandmother, Gladys Valladarez; and her uncle, Jesus Hernandez.
 A private memorial will be held Saturday, September 23rd for family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Lisa may be made to Covenant House New Orleans – 611 Rampart St, New Orleans, LA 70112 or online at www.covenanthouseno.org.
