Thomas Tolbert Srygley Jr., age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Canon Hospice. Thomas is the son of the late Thomas Tolbert Srygley, Sr. and Rosella Alford Srygley. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl Moody Srygley; his two children, Sara Antill (Jesse) and Thomas Srygley, III; his sister, Gail Bigler (Randy); his sisters-in-law, Sandra Abrams (Sanford), Debra Firmin (Ronnie), and his brother-in-law, Richard Moody (Lizette). Tom was the proud grandfather of his five beloved grandchildren: Thomas T. Srygley IV, Shelby Eileen Antill, Harleigh Jean Billiot, Jesse James Antill II, and Scarlett Elizabeth Antill. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews: Renee Vicknair (Brad), William Dazet (Tracy), Thomas Dazet (Dawn), Blake Bigler (Samantha), Kristie Maher (David), David Bigler (Brandy), Scott Abrams (Adriane), Mark Abrams (Becky), Bill Abrams (Sonia), and Marcella Moody. Thomas was a resident of River Ridge, LA for more than fifty years and employed by Delta Airlines, where he served as a Senior Customer Service Agent for twenty-nine years, retiring in 1997. Tom touched all who met him with his generosity and humor.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Service at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Akula Foundation Legacy Moments, the non-profit foundation of Canon Hospice at 1221 S. Clearview Parkway, Jefferson, LA 70121 or to Riverside Church at 9220 Jefferson Highway, River Ridge, LA 70123.
