Ryan Thomas Pearce, born June 23, 1989 in New Orleans, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Ryan is survived by his parents, Harlon and Sharon Mylie Pearce; his siblings, Olivia, Deborah, and Randy Pearce; his grandparents, Marian and Earl Mylie; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends - all of whom loved him dearly. May he rest gently in the sweet embrace of his sister, Melinda Pearce and his grandparents, Ellen and Otha Pearce who preceded him in death. A kind and generous man, Ryan displayed great love and care to his family and friends and forged particularly close bonds with his fellow artists in the local music community. Ryan’s friends describe him as a “kindred spirit” and “a beautiful soul” with “a witty and creative mind like no other”. Ryan not only pushed the boundaries of his own immense musical talent but also the potential of those around him, selflessly encouraging and supporting other young artists and helping to build a circle of friendship. He brought light into the lives of all those he touched.
A service celebrating Ryan’s life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie . His family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service time.
