Robert “Bob” Sagona, passed away on January 2, 2018 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of 59 years to Ruth Manilia Sagona, father of Ann S. Lorio (Ronald), Robert J. Sagona, Jr. (Janet), and Beau P. Sagona (Gretchen). Grandfather of, Noel and Hannah Lorio, Drew, David and Dillon Sagona, and Daniel and Thomas Sagona. Son of the late, Angela Passanante Sagona and Louis Sagona. Brother of the late Victoria S. “Busty” Sclafini, Louis S., Henry J., Epifano S. “Fano”, Angela S. Dellinger, and James E. Sagona. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob was a State Farm Insurance agent for 29 years, was a past vice president of the Italian American Bocce Club, past member of the Greater New Orleans Italian American Cultural Society and a two-time president of the Moisant Kiwanis and an avid fisherman. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living Center-Kenner for their love and support in caring for Bob the last nine months. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm and the visitation will begin at 9:00 am.
