Reneé Mangin Rangel, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the age of 55. Reneé was born on December 17, 1961 in Baton Rouge, LA, grew up in Metairie LA, and lived in Destrehan, LA for the past 33 years. She attended Riverdale High School and received her certification as an X-ray technician from Ochsner Allied Health. During her lifetime, Reneé had the gift of making friends wherever she went. She touched many people with her kindness and compassion. Reneé mostly enjoyed spending time with her family hosting family dinners, tailgating for the LSU games and enjoying crawfish boils. She had a knack for putting together special celebrations and choosing gifts for special occasions. Reneé also enjoyed having lunch with friends and going to the movies. She made life richer for anyone who had the honor to know her. She was the beloved wife of Fernand H. Rangel for 33 years who was the love of her life and the loving mother of Emily Rangel and Kyle Rangel (Katie). She is also survived by her beloved parents, Maurice “Buddy” and JoAnn LeBlanc Mangin; her brother, Fred Mangin (Robin); her sister, Michelle Chappetta (John) and her brothers-in-law, Robert Rangel (Colleen) and James Rangel. She will also be dearly missed by her six nieces and nephews, family members and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am.
