Pedro Atanasio Santos, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of the late Nelly Hidalgo Santos for 54 years. Devoted father of Jennifer Santos Hartmann (Lloyd), Nelly Santos Vera, Donna Santos Scoggins (Martin), and the late Peter A. Santos (Patricia). Grandfather of Carlos Miguel Vera, Peter Anthony Santos, Peter Alexander Santos, Miguel Mariano Vera, Fernando Andrés Avelar, Peter Andrés Santos, Liam Christopher Scoggins, Wilfredo Avelar, and Raul Avelar. Great-grandfather of Sebastian Avelar and Christian Avelar. Son of the late Pedro Oliverio Santos and Gilma Flores Santos. Brother of Macario Santos, Washington Santos, Fanny Santos Lopez, Yolanda Santos Brolin, Maruja Santos Demera, Modesta Santos Faubla, Efrain Santos, and Rosa Santos Demara. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until Mass time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
