Michele Diane Cronin passed away at her home in Metairie, LA on Monday, July 24, 2017 with her son by her side. She was 57. She was the beloved daughter of Judith Whitney Cronin and the late Joseph James Cronin, Sr. Mother of Sean David Cronin. Sister of Joanne C. Bourgeois (Kenneth), Kelly C. Gagliano, Susan C. Burghardt (Gary), Joseph J. Cronin, Jr. (Jeanne) and the late Michael R. Cronin. She is also survived by nephews and nieces: Blake M. Bourgeois, Ryan J. Bourgeois, Matthew R. Escalante, Joseph R. Escalante, Braylon M. Escalante, Jessica M. Gagliano, Colleen B. Ulrich, Gary Burghart, Jr., Christopher Cronin, Shannon Cronin, Michael John Cronin and Mary Esther Cronin.
Michele was a selfless, faithful, and loving person who devoted her time to giving back to the church by volunteering at Vacation Bible School and CCD at St. Benilde Catholic Church. She was an oncology nurse who worked at UCLA for a short period of time before finding her way back home to Metairie, LA. She completed research at Ochsner and LSU Cancer Centers in New Orleans. Throughout her entire life, Michele showed strong devotion to her family and faith by always helping anyone in need. Always giving words of encouragement to everyone she came across, she demonstrated how important faith is to living a happy life. No matter who you are, no matter what you have done, she would always accept you with open arms. She will be missed by all.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Garden Of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
